OUR STORY & COMPANY HISTORY
Founded by a group of dedicated Beatles enthusiasts, Fab 4 Taxi Tours was born out of a love for the Fab Four and a desire to create unforgettable experiences for fellow fans. With years of experience and a deep knowledge of Liverpool’s musical roots, our team is committed to providing an authentic and engaging tour that goes beyond the typical tourist trail.
ORIGINS
Fab 4 Taxi Tours is the original taxi sightseeing tour company in Liverpool. We offer our signature Beatles tours, Liverpool history & sightseeing tours as well as bespoke tours for our guests. But how did it all begin?
It all began in 2007 after spotting a tour bus travelling down Penny Lane - stuck in traffic. Guests were crowded on the coach and couldn't be flexible to get off, nor take good pictures from the coach! At many locations along the road (and throughout the city), people were having to lean to one side or the other of the tour bus to see anything (let alone take pictures!).
The solution was simple: create a more personalised tour experience for visitors wishing to explore The Fab4. Thus "The Original Fab4 Beatles Taxi Tour" was born.
OUR FAB DRIVER GUIDES
Our tours go from strength to strength! All drivers are carefully hand-picked and trained to the highest standards on Beatles knowledge (although all bring a ton of wealth and passion with them). Our driver guides have over 200 years of combined experience navigating the streets of Liverpool.

MOVING TO THE NEXT LEVEL
A few things changed in 2019 - Debbie & Terry, after a tremendously successful 12 years, decided to step aside and ownership passed to a new group of enthusiastic Beatles fans.
COVID-19
The pandemic of 2020 changed the face of tourism fundamentally. We did not stand still but used the time to change our systems to make your experience a better one from browsing through our website, booking & enjoying our tours (safely).
We were immensely proud to have been accredited for our hard efforts to become officially "Good to Go" through Visit England & Visit Britain as well as being awarded the "Safe Travels" award by the World Travel & Tourism Council.
TOURS FOR LOCALS
To help our local communities during the COVID-19 pandemic, we created tours specifically for local people during the time of the Pandemic to enjoy their city and also find a safe solution of transport to and from the city.
NEW PARTNERSHIPS
Did you know that from 2022 we have teamed up with various organisations including the National Trust to give you the opportunity to visit Mendips and Forthlin Road interiors and immerse yourself in The Beatles' childhood homes...? We also work with The Beatles Story, The Casbah and The Cavern.
CARING FOR OUR PLANET
We care deeply about the impact travel has on our planet and we work hard to ensure your visit has a positive effect. From 2023 we are partnering with Ecologi to support our earth & help in projects to lower our carbon footprint.
BEST TOLD STORY
We are proud and honoured to have been awarded the prestigious Visit England Best Told Story awards in 2023 and 2024 as well as Runners-Up in the regional Tourism Awards for 3 years running.
CRUISE LINE'S OFFICIAL ACCESSIBLE TOUR PARTNER
Since 2024 Fab 4 Taxi Tours have established themselves as the official cruise partner for cruise lines offering fully accessible tours to their passengers. Our specially designed tour allows all guests to experience The Beatles and the city of Liverpool!
CRUISE LIVERPOOL PARTNERSHIP
We are proud to announce a new partnership with Cruise Liverpool in becoming one of the premium tour partners within the cruise terminal and port.
WE DID IT!
Fab 4 Taxi Tours was crowned "Experience of the Year" at the Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards 2025. In addition, we have been shortlisted as "Experience of the Year" once again for the 2026 Tourism Awards!
EXPANDING THE FAB 4 EXPERIENCE
Alongside our private taxi tours, we introduced a selection of carefully designed small-group and semi-private experiences, allowing more visitors to explore Liverpool and the Beatles story in an intimate and accessible way.
